I just was disappointed that I didn’t get a chance to find out what will happen to the bad guy. What is going to happen when the truth comes out? It is a really good story. Except Trina and her girls don’t know the dogs they are caring for are not really dogs. Trina and several undercover police officers are in the stands waiting for the right moment to spring their trap on the townspeople and Ryder. What the do with them is to then put them out in a ring and people place their bets on the winner. However he has been starving them along with some of the other dogs and animals that he and his lackeys have come up with. Shadow, Dallas, Baron, and Archer along with Major and Xavier had been shot with tranquilizers six months earlier and had spent that time chain up in their wolf form by a piece of slim by the name of Ryder who is also a shifter. Even still managing the shelter had it problems of its own as well as when she had to turn away animals because they had not room.

Her doctors saw how much it helped her and decided that having a couple of the other women that are having difficulties with panic attacks and anxiety to come and help at the no kill animal shelter. Trina had discovered after her own battles helping the animals were the only thing that could settle her demons. It is a story about women that are trying to find themselves once again after surviving some sort of trauma in their lives. This story deals with so many things that it is just not another shifter love story. I picked this book thinking it look interesting from what I had seen of the blur and I wasn’t disappointed.
